The Department of Medicine of Metro Health Specialists Hospital, Inc. (MHSHI) is composed of the private rooms and ward rooms that provide care and in-house facilities for the management of adult non-surgical cases. It operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is manned by a trained staff of physicians, nurses and nursing attendants. Appropriate services are also provided by other healthcare personnel such as respiratory therapists, physical therapists, medical technologists, nutritionists, etc. as well as administrative and maintenance staff.

The Department of Medicine is organized into sections which represent the various specialties within the discipline of Internal Medicine. Each section constitutes specialists lead by a Division Head and is responsible for teaching, research and patient care related to the specific discipline.
